Yay! I am Indonesian and I love spicy!! I couldn't find any good spicy sauce here in U.S. So I've really tried to get used to Tabasco. And now I love it!
It depends. If I like your food I won't add anything to it. If it tastes like crap I will add Tabasco. Yes even the crappiest food can be disguised with Tabasco.
As an ingredient in a dish, yay. On its own on something, nay.
